This dessert is SO FREAKING GOOD you will never even know it’s healthy. So while you’re indulging, your body will actually thank you for the healthy fat and antioxidant mash up that will completely delight your taste buds too. Plus, an avocado a day keeps the doctor away (says me!). Every time I make this, I get asked for the recipe. So, here it is. Enjoy!
Avocado Chocolate Mousse Recipe
Ingredients:
3 ripe avocados
¼ cup honey or maple syrup (more or less for desired sweetness), OR liquid stevia (approx 15-20 drops to start- you can always add more!)
½ cup cacao powder (you can add more for a richer taste)
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 to 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or other non-dairy milk (more or less for desired consistency- less milk creates a thicker mousse)
sprinkle of cinnamon (option, and to taste)
raspberries, strawberries + mint for garnish
Directions:
Add all ingredients except for the coconut or almond milk in a blender or food processor. Gradually add in the almond milk to obtain the consistency you desire. Chill for one hour. Serve in cups and garnish with fresh berries and mint.
