Self-Care Sunday: Virtual Yoga, Ayurveda and Guided Breathwork

  • Virtual Event (join online from anywhere) (map)

Join us for a soulful + soothing Sunday as we dip into the healing medicine available through Breathwork, Yoga, and Ayurveda.

Join me and ayurvedic yoga teacher Kerrie Schur as we guide the way through a series of life-affirming practices including pranayama (breath work), yoga, and Ayurvedic based self-care to support heart, mind, and body during this challenging time. We’ll release stale energy, calm our anxious minds, and explore pathways of nourishment and renewal. We’ll also explore a bit of Ayurvedic seasonal wisdom to support the crafting or deepening of our daily spring routines.

We will start our morning with a gentle yoga flow and some Ayurvedic teachings led by Kerrie. We will end with a 45-minute guided breathwork journey led by me.

*This circle is by donation only, so please make an offering that works for you if you are able to contribute (suggested donation of $15-$35). Our session will be recorded and shared afterward so if you cannot attend at the scheduled time, you can practice when your schedule allows. A percentage of all donations will go to support organizations helping communities with COVID-19.

WHAT IS AYURVEDA?

AyurVeda is the sister science to yoga and helps us to live more in tune with the seasons and the natural world to support our health and well-being.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR THIS CLASS:

- a yoga mat
- a small pillow
- a comfortable place to lie down
- an eye mask (if you want to block out light)
- a blanket
- Please note: breathwork is most comfortable and effective when your stomach is not full. Please refrain from eating a heavy meal prior to the workshop.
